Stopped here for lunch during a long walk. There was quite a long queue outside so we had to wait for a table, but the staff were clearly doing everything possible to seat people as soon as possible. Very nice big light space and the menu was good with varied dishes to suit everyone. I had the Venison burger which was really nice. Big and juicy with a lovely flavour and a fresh bun. Came with chunky chips that were almost like potato wedges. Big and thick but cooked perfectly and were really really tasty. My wife had a cheese scone with butter which was amazing. Good size, very cheesy and didn't fall apart while eating it. We took a piece of the caramel and apple cake home for later, and that was also really lovely. The staff were all very pleasant (even though they had been non stop busy all day) and we will definitely eat here again in the future.

This is always the highlight of our walk around the lake. A beautiful setting, great service and an interesting menu. My Buddha bowl with Thai fishcakes was divine, and very filling. Friendly waitresses too.

Super delicious sausage and onion rolls. Amazing strawberry cheesecake and chocolate roulade. Great coffee. Very efficient and friendly service in a lovely location. Dog friendly. Highly recommend. A great place to stop whilst enjoying the Derwentwater walk.

Beautiful place!! The food was brilliant, vegetarian options and gluten free - the server also checked what was safe for coeliacs for my bf. The staff were all so friendly and polite. We took home a lovely gf cake too which was fab. The surroundings are lovely with a garden - it’s a must visit. Parking is 5 but you get a 4 voucher back to spend in the cafe, so really it’s only 1.

Loved our stop here - kids enjoyed playing Peter rabbit and Mr McGregor in the garden. We did have to queue for lunch but the food was worth the wait and great service. Lovely find and a good place to fuel up before or after Easedale Tarn.

The food at the Lingholm Kitchen is excellent and packed full of fresh ingredients. The fish cakes had a nice chilli bite to them.

Honestly, the restaurant at Lingholm is a must visit. We went for breakfast, all of the staff are super welcoming and friendly. The food is outstanding, best meal out in a long time!! Plus whilst you're waiting for your food, you can explore Peter rabbits vegetable garden

Very tasty cake and hot drinks. Friendly, well organised staff who made quick work of getting tables cleared and new arrivals seated during the busy Easter holidays.
